Killarney Legion

-

Co.League Killarney Legion 1-12 Currow 1-12 A draw was probably a fair result at the end of this county league encounter but both sides will feel they could have snatched it. Currow came close with a converted penalty and straight away a point to nudge them in front with less than five mins. on the clock. However Conor Keane pointed from 30m to earn his side a point as the clock ticked into injury time. Indeed the same player was instrumental in a lot of what was good about the Legion and he netted 1-6 with his goal a particularly spectacular score as he danced through the defence before unleasing an unstoppable shot to the net from an acute angle. The Legion had a period of dominance in the second half that could have seen them out of sight but on a couple of occasions didn’t convert that superiority onto the scoreboard. Still facing their first loss at home and in the league they gathered themselves to salvage the draw that keeps them on course for promotion. Well done, lads. Scorers – Conor Keane 1-6 (4f),Jamie O’Sullivan 3pt (2f),Jack O’Neill 2p, Conor Culloty, 1p.
