A thriving industrial park at Tanavalla
AT Tanavalla Industrial Park on the outskirts of Listowel, on the Tralee Road, customers find an ideal focal point to do business. One of the successes of Tanavalla is the merger of the local mart with local business – a feature that seems to work hand in hand.
The mart first bought land at Tanavalla Industrial Park way back in 1997 and the local mart eventually made its base there in 2005 - by which time several businesses had already established themselves.
Today, it’s hard to believe this thriving enclave on the outskirts of town was once just an empty field and Tanavalla is a prime example of the opportunities that arise when effort and ideas combine
Businesses in the park recognise that being within close proximity to the mart is a positive feature as it helps to create a steady footfall, especially every Wednesday and Thursday. The accessibility of parking away from the hustle and congestion of town also helps.
The presence of the mart serves as an important driver of business in the park as farming supplies, electrical supplies, and distributors of lawnmowers, tool hire and machinery cater for the agriculture, construction and domestic markets.
Retailers and wholesalers see Tanavalla as good place to trade and do business. The businesses currently located there range from food companies, tyre centre, a veterinary supply company, electrical suppliers and agricultural machinery providers. Of course these benefits have not gone unnoticed by the general public who enjoy the convenience that comes with a visit to Tanavalla – a place where town business in a country setting make a pact of expediency for customers which is something you won’t find easily these days.
