JPD opened its doors in Tanavalla in March, 2010 and are the main agents for STIHL and VIKING products in Kerry and exclusive sellers of STIGA and ROVER Lawnmowers. JPD offer first-class ‘Service, Sales and Repairs’ to customers and all make of models are repaired with trade-ins on all lawnmowers. They will also offer free pickup and delivery when you purchase a ride on mower.

“We provide a full range of equipment when it comes to tool hire and this is a very convenient place, especially for drivers and the farming community where big tractors and machinery can easily park and turn. This matters a lot. The estate is just outside Listowel, but the people who know about it and use it, love it,” said Brendan Sheehan.

JPD now supply the Viking robotic mower which is all the rage at the moment with Brendan describing it as one of the best machines he has seen. The ‘Viking I-Mow’ will maintain a lawn by cutting a few millimetres of grass every day, thereby reducing cuttings. It can also cut up to an acre in size, labour free.

“You won’t need to do a thing as we’ll set it up and they’re a magnificent machine. I couldn’t get over the way they operate,” said Brendan.

“I guarantee in 5 to 10 years’ time these machines will be everywhere. There is no noise, they work off a battery and can be programmed to cut the space required. It’s ideal for commercial, domestic and sporting use.”
