ALL-IRELAND CHAMPIONSHIPS

Congratulations to Fiona Doyle on her great achievement of winning a bronze medal in the under-17 high jump at the National Juvenile Championships last Sunday. Fiona jumped 1.60m and in doing so, equalled her PB. Great to see Fiona back on form after recent injury. Fiona will be taking part in the Senior Championships shortly and we wish her the best of luck.

KERRY ATHLETICS

Congratulations to our under-10 girls relay team who finished second in the County Championships in Castleisland on Saturday. Well done to Riadh O’Sullivan, Aoibhin Riordan,

Emma Sheehan and Eabha McEvoy on a great performance.

GNEEVEGUILLA AC MILE SERIES

The second race in this mile series, which is organised by Gneeveguilla AC took place in Fossa last Friday. 81 runners took part, which was well up on the 46 of last year. Tommy O’ Brien of An Riocht once again took first place, while the ladies race was won by Sharon Cahill also of An Riocht. Kate Falvey, Siobhán Falvey and Stephen Griffin from the club took part, with good times by all. Next week’s race will take place in Knocknagree on Friday at 8 p.m.

RUN KILLARNEY MARATHON

Killarney Half Marathon and 10k is taking place on Saturday, July 22. Best of luck to all of our club members who will be taking part.
