KDYS KILLORGLIN SUMMER STREET FEAST.

Our annual Street Feast takes place on Friday, July 28, between 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Do pop in and enjoy a bite to eat and catch up with your neighbours. This is a free event organised by Kdys Killorglin.

TROLLS SUMMER CAMP

The Trolls summer camp will take place in the CYMS July 24 to July 27 for children aged four to 10. 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day. Call 083 4056829 for further informatio­n.

KILLORGLIN BINGO

In CYMS every Sunday night, starting 8.30 p.m. Doors open 8 p.m. Johnny will be calling the numbers as usual, while you scratch.

Dance Classes: by Jackie O’Mahony, Pantomime Choreograp­her in the CYMS every Monday night 8 p.m.

Artisan Market: Every Friday in the CYMS 10 – 1.30 PM – please do come along and browse.

SHORT MAT BOWLS

In recent weeks, we have been delighted by the number of people coming along to the Glenbeigh and Killorglin Bowling clubs, including new members who have decided to give the game a go. Short Mat bowls is really a game that is suitable for all ages, regardless of gender or experience.

If you would like to try your hand at this very enjoyable game, then come along to the GAA grounds in Glenbeigh every Thursday from 1.45 p.m. to 4 p.m. All equipment provided, hot drinks and great fun for all.

Or you can join us at the Killorglin Sports Centre every Tuesday from 1.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. – beginners welcome at both clubs.

KARATE CLASSES

Traditiona­l Okinawa Karate classes at the Killorglin Sports complex – Wednesday evenings 6 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. Everyone welcome, including beginners.

MEALS ON WHEELS – VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

If you have a spare hour around midday on any day of the week, you could help us help others in the community by delivering Meals on Wheels. WASTE TRANSFER STATIONS

councillor Michael Cahill has called on Kerry County Council to introduce credit card facilities at all Transfer Stations in the county, as a matter of priority. councillor Cahill said he has been approached by members of the public and business people in Killarney, Milltown, Killorglin, Dingle and Kenmare, who said that they pay all their bills with their Credit Card and that such a facility would be a great help. ‘I believe this facility should be in all of Kerry County Council’s Transfer Stations’ stated the Rossbeigh man. The Fianna Fail councillor said most businesses and service providers have credit card facilities today and Kerry County Council should have likewise. councillor Cahill has submitted a motion for this month’s meeting of the council in respect of the matter.
