Festival launch will be held on Thursday, July 20, at 8 p.m. at Cahersiveen Community Centre. CAHERCIVEEN RACES.
The Caherciveen Races have been brought forward to Saturday, July 29, First race at 3 p.m. The dog show takes place on Friday night at 7.30 p.m. at the Fairgreen. The Race Dance is on Sunday night, July 30, at the Kerry Coast Inn. Music by PJ Murrihy Ladies-make sure to get the outfit out of the wardrobe for ‘the Best Dressed Ladies Prize’

CAHERCIVEEN IRISH NIGHT
An evening of traditional Irish dance, music and songs, every Thursday at Shebeen lounge bar from 7.30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Families welcome. Come and learn an Irish song or a traditional Irish dance, musicians and singers welcome. Entry €5

Cahersiveen are calling on buskers for the summer season as there has been a serious influx of tourists to the town. Contact Cahersiveen Tidy Towns on Facebook or Lisa at 085 7204044. Judges will be arriving soon so can everyone please do their best to clean up and weed around properties.
CAHERCIVEEN WALKING TOURS
Join us for a walking tour of Cahersiveen – The capital of the Iveragh Peninsula and gateway to the Skellig region. Tour will take one hour. Explore the history of Caherciveen through the ages. Visit sites of historical interest. Discover the stories of: Daniel O’Connell ‘The Uncrowned King of Ireland’. Monsignor Hugh O’Flaherty ‘The Pimpernel of the Vatican’. Canon Brosnan and the Pope.
