GREAT NIGHT OF ENTERTAINMENT

There will be live music with Clare Horgan, Tim Browne and Paddy Casey every Wednesday in July and August at Tig Rosie’s, in Dungeagan, Ballinskelligs.

EVENING OF GOURMET COOKING

There will be an evening of fabulous cooking with Celebrity Chef, Frank Moynihan at Cable O’Leary’s Ballinskelligs on Wednesday, July 26. All presented dishes will be raffled. Please be early and bring a friend at 8 p.m. Admission is only €10.

HOUR OF RELAXATION

A yoga class is on in the Ballinskelligs community centre, on Monday morning from 10 a.m. 11 a.m.

BALLINSKELLIGS COUNTRY MARKET

Is open every weekend till the end of August the market is located at Café Cois Trá Ballinskelligs which is almost on the beautiful Ballinskelligs beach.

BALLINSKELLIGS HERITAGE CENTRE

Ballinskelligs Heritage Centre is open from 10 a.m. 4 p.m. and open seven days a week for the summer months. We would appreciate any ideas that would enable us to further develop the Heritage Centre.

We would be delighted if the public were to donate any manuscripts, documents photographs or any other relevant artifacts. Where possible items will be copied and originals returned to owner. Items can be dropped into the Community Centre Dungeagan.

BEAUTIFUL VILLAGE

The village of Dungeagan is looking even more beautiful after the work that has been initiated by Ellie Cronin. Previously unused spaces have been transformed into beautiful oases of calm were people can sit and enjoy the beauty of the moment and reflect on how beautiful a place our village is. Go raibh mile maith agat, Ellie.

CAHERSIVEEN IRISH NIGHT

An evening of traditional Irish dance, music and songs. Families welcome. Every Thursday from 7.30 p.m. 9.00 at the Shebeen lounge bar. Come and learn an Irish song or a traditional Irish dance, musicians and singers welcome. Entry is €5.

GOOD LUCK AND THANK YOU

Fr David Gunn has been our parish priest for the past seven years. There was a lovely ‘Goodbye and Thank You’ evening for Fr Gunn in the Ballinskelligs Community Centre on Tuesday, July 11, that included singing, speeches of thanks and beautiful food. This gave the community a chance to say ‘Thank You’. We hope Fr Gunn takes away many happy memories of his time spent in the parish of Prior.

We wish Fr Gunn the very best of luck in his new parish of Brosna.
