Kenmare Credit Union at the heart of the community

-

KILLARNEY Credit Union (Kenmare branch) is located on the outskirts of Kenmare town and has seen some changes in the past few years. It now offers an extended range of services that includes the introduction savings stamps, online banking, and new loan products for its members.

In October 2016, a full online banking service and mobile app was launched and this service allows members to access their account 24/7, transfer funds in and out of their account, and pay bills. Members can secure an online banking PIN once they bring in current address and photo ID into the branch and they can be issued with their PIN on the same day.

Michael Gavin is Operations Manager with Killarney Credit Union and he said online banking is proving to be a very popular service.

“Since its launch we have signed up over 1,200 members. With this, you can get your credit union BIC/IBAN and easily transfer funds from your bank into your credit union and vice versa. You can see all your transactions in your credit union accounts and pay bills electronically. We are also rolling out direct debits and phase one has been launched and members can now make loan repayments easily and quickly, without having to call into the credit union,” Mr Gavin said.

Additional services at Kenmare Credit Union include eleven loan products suitable for all member needs such as business, home loans, first time borrower loans; savings stamps; bill payment and annual members’ draw. It also opens late on Thursday and Friday.

The credit union is a vital part of daily life in Kenmare and is a service utilised to its fullest by customers who value and appreciate its range of options.

Killarney Credit Union (Kenmare branch) is open 5 days a week and members can also transact at any of the other branches in Beech Road and Park Road, Killarney.
