MATHEMATIC­ALLY it is still not over but in reality it looks as good as done in the promotion race as Dromid Pearses, Na Gaeil and Ballymacel­ligott all won again meaning only Laune Rangers can stop all three being promoted. However in truth the Killorglin side need favours from elsewhere. After a poor first-half Dromid Pearses came good in the second period at home to Annascaul, the West Kerry side taking advantage of a black card to Micheal Sheehan from the hosts as Jason Hickson scored from the resulting play with Annascaul holding a half-time lead of 1-4 to 0-4. Dromid were far more purposeful in the second-half, Chris Farley and Aidan ‘Shine’ O’Sullivan with second-half goals as they won out by 2-12 to 1-6.

James Crean had to go off with a serious knee injury for the visitors as they scored only twice in the second period, this double score defeat ending their own chances of promotion. Dromid play Na Gaeil next with a win potentiall­y assuring them of the title depending on Ballymac’s trip to Brosna but the Tralee side need only draw their remaining games with the South Kerry side and Ballymac to go up. They overcame conceding the first five points of the game at home to Brosna to go in leading by 1-7 to 0-7, Seamie O’Neill with their goal after 22 minutes. A more physical second period saw the Tralee side go ahead by five themselves but Tom McGoldrick brought Brosna back within two but a big block by David Culloty on Brosna’s Patrick Moriarty along with an insurance goal by Dara Devine ensured that
