The Old Barracks Heritage Centre now open with new local exhibition. Enjoy a coffee/scone in our café or get a guided tour. Open daily from 10-5pm.

Cahersivee­n are calling on buskers for the summer season as there has been a serious influx of tourists to the town. Contact Cahersivee­n tidy towns on Facebook or Lisa on 085 7204044. Judges will be arriving soon so can everyone please do their best to clean up and weed around properties.

WALKING TOURS:

Join us for a walking tour of Cahercivee­n- The capital of the Iveragh Peninsula and gateway to the Skellig region. Tour will take 1 hour. Explore the history of Cahercivee­n through the ages. Visit sites of historical interest. Discover the stories of: Daniel O Connell ‘The Uncrowned King of Ireland’. Monsignor Hugh O Flaherty ‘The Pimpernel of the Vatican’. Canon Brosnan and the Pope. Sigerson Clifford, Poet and Songwriter.
