Cordal GAA fundraiser a night to remember

Cordal GAA Club’s recent Friday night fundraiser at Castleisla­nd Community Centre certainly was a night to remember - according to the club’s PRO, Paddy Flynn.

“We can’t thank everybody enough for such an awesome night. The event was a great success.

A huge thanks to all of those who bought tickets and came on the night.

We’d like to sincerely thank our organisers, volunteers and stewards who helped create a wonderful night for everyone to enjoy,” said Paddy as he reeled off a list of people he wished to thank for their part in the high profile event.

“Thanks to Carol and Joe Browne. Thanks to Jackie Reidy; Flowers by Sheila; Hair Affair; Lynch’s Pharmacy; Hughes’ Bar; Kearney’s PO; Macroom & Millstreet Motor Factors; Tru Care Dry Cleaners.

“Thanks to all our club sellers for the tickets and the raffle on the night. Thanks to Tom Jive and Karen Healy. Thanks to our DJ Catriona Hickey. Thanks to Lisa McHugh, the star of the night.

“Thanks to all the various people and organisati­ons who helped us promote the event. Thanks to all those who donated prizes for our raffle.

“Thanks the to the local Gardaí, Castleisla­nd Community College; Castleisla­nd Pitch & Putt Club and Castleisla­nd Community Centre.

“Thanks to Seanie and Moira Hughes, Michéal Cahill and all the bar staff. Thanks to all those who helped with the clean up the next morning.

“Many thanks to the people who could not make the it on the night, but yet donated to our fundraiser and everyone else that helped make our event a major success.

“It’s a credit to our club and to all those who supported it, ensuring its success. After months of hard work it was a great joy to see it all go so well on the night.

We hope you enjoyed it,” said the enthusiast­ic spokesman.
