Killarney welcomes ‘A Successful TD’

THE INEC Killarney will welcome “A Successful TD” for the first time this winter, as the Killarney events centre confirmed that the show, starring D’Unbelievables’ Jon Kenny and actress Mary McEvoy, would make its INEC debut on November 18.

Based on The Letters of ‘A Successful TD’ and ‘An Irish Minister of State’ by Listowel playwright John B Keane, the productions follows Till McAdoo’s hilarious misadventures in seeking re-election to the Dáil, despite the best efforts of arch-rival and local school teacher “Flannery”.

Written by Keane in 1967, the production is renowned for its edgy humour and satire that’s just as applicable to the politics of today.
