Sign On Tiger adds to growing winnings

THERE was a return to something like his true form by Sign On Tiger (4/1) at last week’s Tuesday SIS meeting at Tralee Track. This fellow is trained locally by Anthony Slattery for his wife, Betty, and he was scoring his first victory from his last twelve starts when winning the seventh race (S3 325) by a length and a half from Doonhill Rebel in 17.68.

The race carried a winner’s purse of €175 and it brings his winnings to date to a very impressive €8,656.

Fastest over 525yds, on a hot 28.64, was the Chris Houlihan-trained Unleashthebeast (9/4 joint fav), while there was a quickfire 23/1 double (3/1 and 5/1) for the Crotty family, of O’Brien’s Bridge, Co Clare, who won the eighth and ninth races with litter brothers, Feather Plucker (29.31) and Inislosky Patric (29.32), while the other winners were: Kilcow Harry, 28.89; Goon Goon Goon, 29.29; Coisceim Beag, 29.49; Leaha Millie, 29.29; Timaru Fancy, 29.09; Lybes Sir Ron, 29.45.
