HOUR OF RELAXATION

CHIROPODIST
The Chiropodist will be in Ballinskelligs Community Centre on Thursday 28th of September from 11.00am.
CHURCH CONCERT
Join us on Saturday 30th September at 8.00pm for a unique experience in the church of St Michael the Archangel, Dungeagan, Ballinskelligs. Cór Cois Abhann are a choir based in Cork city and were founded in 1990.
Approximately 50 members of the Choir will perform a concert for us on the night under the musical direction of Ian Sexton. They will be joined on the night the Cahersiveen Male Voice Choir and traditional local artists.
This is a free concert and an event not to be missed. The Choir will also join us for a Seán Ó Riada, Mass in Ballinskelligs Abbey at 11.30am Sunday morning, Oct 1st weather permitting.
DID YOU OWN A FORD?
As part of our Pattern Festival we have a very interesting talk lined up for the Community Centre on Friday 29th September at 8.00pm. This will focus on history of the Ford motor Company in Ireland and its links to Cork.
The talk will be given by Denis McSweeney, who joined Fords in 1971 and worked his way up to become Ford Marketing Director. Denis and his wife Ida have a holiday home in Ballinskelligs and are frequent visitors so if you ever owned a Ford this is a talk not to be missed.

PATRÚN/PATTERN
Our annual Pattern Festival takes place from Friday September 29th to Sunday Oct 1st. Rounds of the well will take place on Friday morning, that night we have a very interesting talk in the Community Centre on the history of the Ford motor Company in Ireland. We have photo exhibitions.
The opening of the Monk’s trail, Mass in the Abbey and a very special Concert in St Michael’s Church.
