A month after Killarney women defeated Royal Portrush Club to Ccaim a first ILGU Senior Cup in their Hhstory, the club has now won the Senior Foursomes title, with pairings required to have a minimum combined handicap of 14. The All Ireland Final was held at Malone Golf Club. Belfast last week. The Senior Foursomes match was suspended after darkness on Friday, already on extra holes. The Final match between Killarney and Roscommon was still undecided after 20 holes. In the end it went Killarney’s way when it resumed at 10am on Saturday with Eimear O’Donnell holing a five footer for par on the 21st, to give Killarney the AIG Senior Foursomes title. Killarney team pairings, Mary Sheehy and Fidelma O’Connor, Deidre Prendergast and Anne Moyhihan Rudden, Eimear O’Donnell and Amy Arthur. Congrats to the team, managers and supporters.
