CSKA got their season off to a great start with a good win over Castleisla­nd who had won their opening two games. Craig Locke (2) and Joe Fitzgerald scored for the winners.

DENNY DIVISION 1A Sporting Listowel 1 QPR 3

THIS was the first game of the new season for both sides and Sporting Listowel went ahead with a goal from Thomas McCarthy and they seemed set for victory as the game entered the latter stages. However three late goals by QPR gave them a dramatic win with Mark Reen getting the goals.

Skeliga 3 Strand Road 1

SKELIGA got off the mark with a good win over Strand Road. Anthony Cournane (2), and Stevie Boyle scored for the winners.

DENNY DIVISION 1B Asdee Rovers 3 The Park 3

ASDEE Rovers got out of jail at Craughdarr­ig Park on Sunday coming from 3-1 down to secure a draw with a 94th minute equaliser. They seemed in big trouble when they had a player sent off after 30 minutes and went 2-0 in arrears.

However a converted penalty by Joe Lynch brought them back into the game just before half time.

The Park extended their led to 3-1 early in the second half and appeared to be heading for victory. However, two late goals from Eamon Leahy was enough to capture a league point. Mikey Burke (2) and Milos Arvic scored for The Park.

Castlegreg­ory 2 Listowel Celtic B 0

CASTLEGREG­ORY picked up three points with a good win over Listowel Celtic B. Michael O’Dowd scored both goals.

Castlemain­e 0 Killarney Athletic B 2

GOALS from Chris O’Meara and Ger Moynihan gave Athletic the three league points.

DENNY DIVISION 2A Classic B 7 Castlemain­e B 2

CLASSIC B’s rich vein of form continued with a big win over Castlemain­e B. Joe Duggan (2), Tommy Naughton (2), Dominic Houlihan Timmy Lynch and Ritchie Kelliher scored for the winners.

DENNY DIVISION 2B Lenamore Rovers 2 Ballyheigu­e Athletic B 4

BALLYHEIGU­E travelled to Ballylongf­ord and came away with the three points in an entertaini­ng game against Lenamore Rovers. Mark O’Regan (2), Brendan Moynihan and Rory Duggan scored for the winners.

YOUTH LEAGUE NORTH Tralee Dynamos 0 St Brendans Park 3

THE clash of the two arch rivals lived up to its billing but it was St Brendan’s Park that took the three points. Adam Ward, Jordan Barry and Aaron Ward scored for the winners.

YOUTH LEAGUE SOUTH Killarney Athletic 2 Killarney Celtic 6

THE bragging rights went to Celtic in this Killarney town derby that produced eight goals.

Ballyhar Dynamos 2 Killorglin FC 0

GOALS in either half by Liam Butler and Mark Donnellan sealed the win for Ballyhar. Best for Ballyhar were Max Walsh, Patrick O’Connor, Jordan O’Connor, Shane Burke, Conor Murphy and Jack Duggan.
