ABC Cleaning

ABC Cleaning is a family run business that provides contract cleaning services and cleaning supplies in Kerry and many other parts of Ireland. The business was set up in 1995 by Breeda Hurley and her husband Sean who returned to Ireland having immigrated to London 5 years previously. As the parents of 8 children it was make or break following a number of upsets and setbacks in the previous businesses they had tried to make a success of. ABC Cleaning at one point employed nearly 400 staff and now has steady employment for 140 people.

ABC takes pride in the fact that they are one of the most reputable cleaning companies in Ireland having been recognised for excellence in standards and service by the ICCA (Irish Contract Cleaning Association). With plenty of late nights and very early mornings, many people don’t realise that they work, shop, study, recreate and recuperate in an environment made clean, safe and sterile by the hard working team at ABC.

ABC believe it is imperative that all employees are informed and educated on the important role they play. This is because their hard work ensures that bacteria, infections and contamination are significantly reduced and positively impacts on people’s health and safety. Employees are recognised annually with the ABC company awards and are also nominated for the biannual contract cleaning awards. ABC also has an active social outing calendar, while up skilling, training and development opportunities are part of the company’s culture also.
