ATHLETIC CLUB NOTES

Lotto; No winner of our lotto 29/09/2017, numbers drawn were 8, 12, 21 & 30. Sellers prize winner Karen c/o Petro’s Bar. €50 Y/T prize winner Tom Hickey Riverstick, €50 Jerome & Marie Casey Boherbue, €40 to Catherine Fitzgerald Mologow, Mark Healy Kilcorney & John Breen Knocknagree. Bonus not won numbers drawn were 3,7, 8 & 24. Next week’s jackpot €8,800 plus €1,000 bonus. Cross Country: The cross country season got off to a good start in The Demense Killanrey on Sunday last where we had the Juvenile even age, U18, u23 & novice age groups. Gneeveguilla Athletic Club had a good outing with Oisin O’ Leary 2nd u10 boys, Ben Murphy 3rd U16, Jack O’ leary 5th U16, Andrew Purcell 2nd U23. Our U10 girls were 2nd team Kate Healy, Aoibheann McSweeney, Siobhan Hickey & Kate Culloty, also we had a 3rd team placing, girls were Zoe Counihan, Daisy Cremin, Hannah Casey, Elanna Brosnan & Chloe O’ Donoghue. Next Sunday we have U9 to U19’s plus Intermediate & Master age groups in William Dennhy’s Farm Currow at 11.00 am

Couch To 5K: Our Couch to 5K programme begins Monday October 2nd at 7.30 pm in Barradubh Field at 7.30pm and each Wednesday and Friday there after. The programme is and eight week programme. Do come along and give it a go!

FATIMA CENTENARY

The sixth and final Apparition of Our Lady at Fatima will be commemorated in association with Youth 2000, at a Youth Mass in The Church of The Holy Rosary Gneeveguilla on Friday October 13th at 7.30 pm celebrated by Fr Jim Lenihan.
