MASTERGEEH­A FC

UNDERAGE ACADEMY: Training will continues on Saturday mornings at 10.45am.

U14: Mastergeeh­a 1 Iveragh 3. In this close game the boys were a goal down early on to trail 1-0 at the break. In the second half Mastergeeh­a got back on level terms when Mark O’Shea crossed for Oisin O’Leary to score. However the visitors took the lead again following a corner in the 55th minute. For the remainder of the game the boys pushed forward with Donnagh Fahy and Colin O’Leary unlucky with good shots. With five minutes remaining Darra O’Callaghan was unlucky not to equalise when his shot hit the upright. In the final kick of the game the visitors ensured the win scoring another goal.

U16: Castleisla­nd 2 Mastergeeh­a 5. After going 2 goals down in the first 15mins Mastergeeh­a hit back to level before half time with Philip O’Leary scoring both goals, his 2nd a well worked team goal following great play by Darragh O’Riordan and Shane Warren. The lads pushed on in the 2nd half to claim the points with MOTM O’Leary netting 2 more with Shane Warren firing in the 5th after some great wing play. All played well in a great team performanc­e.

FAI JUNIOR CUP: Mastergeeh­a 2 Glen Rovers 4. Despite having more of the play in the first half the seniors were three down to the clinical Limerick side. Early in the second half the visitors scored again. After this Mastergeeh­a pushed forward more and got a goal back when Damian Breen crossed for James Nagle to score. Mastergeeh­a got a second shortly after when Chris Egan converted a penalty. In the closing stages Eoin Horan and Dan Murphy went close for Mastergeeh­a.

CLUB GEAR: Club gear will be on sale at the clubhouse on Saturdays. Track suits, Hoodies, T-shirts, Shorts, and caps available with orders taken on the day for Christmas presents.

MASTERGEEH­A FC LOTTO:Congratula­tions to Jean Counihan, Dunrine, Kilcummin who won the Jackpot of €10,200. Numbers drawn 1,6, 9, 24.

COFFEE MORNING

THANK YOU: Mastergeeh­a FC would like to thank Kilcummin, Coolick and Anabla national schools for hosting the Annual Coffee morning in Aid of Kerry Hospice. In total €617 was raised for this worthy cause. Thanks to all who supported this annual fundraiser and thanks to everyone that donated baked goods.
