ARCHAEOLOG­Y LECTURE

Killoclogh­ane (Milltown) Portal Tomb Excavation: ‘The earliest structure in Co Kerry’: is the title of an illustrate­d lecture to be given on Friday 6th October at the CYMS (Mini Theatre) by Dr Michael Connolly (Kerry Co Archaeolog­ist) who carried out the excavation. This is the first of the 2017 Autumn-Winter series of lectures arranged by Killorglin History & Folklore Society. All Welcome to learn what our Mid Kerry ancestors imagined and created.

Our Keanes Supervalu National League men had a great win over Carlow IT last Saturday night - please read full report in sports section The men are in action at home again this Saturday night October 7th in Killorglin sports complex tip off against EJ Sligo All Stars is at 7.15pm All underage training is back for the new season under 8s academy Sunday mornings at 10am Girls training U10s Friday’s 5 to 6, U12s Tuesday’s 5 to 6pm, U14s Sunday’s 11to 12, U16s Monday’s 8 to 9pm. Boys training is Tuesdays 6 to 7pm, U 12s Wednesdays 6 to 7, U14s Monday’s 7 to 8, U16s & U 18s Sunday’s 6 to 7.30pm.
