Padraig Lucey returns to help strengthen the Killarney locals

-

THERE’s an Elvis Presley song out there entitled ‘Return to Sender’ and while, of course, the song is not about the return of a former AFL player to his hometown of Killarney, we’re going to roll with it.

Padraig Lucey has returned from his two year spell with Geelong FC in Austrialia and he’s already secured himself a new target - helping the people of Killarney to get fit.

Starting on Friday October 13, Padraig, who is a qualified gym instructor and currently studying Sport Studies and Physical Education in UCC, will be giving strength and conditioning training at The Gleneagle Hotel’s Aquila Club Leisure Centre for a period of 10 weeks.

“During my time with Geelong FC, I learned about elite training and performance and gained knowledge from some of the best coaches, trainers and athletes that Australia has produced,” said Padraig.

The 10 week course, which will cost €150, will include a weekly one-hour strength and conditioning session, a weekly one-hour coaching session on nutrition and wellness and full membership of The Aquila Club. More information from the Aquila Club on 064 6636178.
