Meetings on mental health issues

THE HSE is holding two information meetings in the county this coming week ahead of the establishment of a permanent North Kerry Local Forum and South Kerry Local Forum on the subject of mental health engagement.

Anyone with experience and/or interest in the varying topics surrounding mental health are being encouraged to attend the forthcoming meetings in Killarney and Tralee. The meetings will take place at 7.30pm at the Kerry Mental Health Association in Killarney on Wednesday October 18, and at Áras an Phobal in Tralee on Thursday October, 19.

HSE Area Lead for Mental Health Engagement with Cork Kerry Community Healthcare Rory Doody is facilitating the meetings and he said that the planned forums will be more than just talking shops.
