Searching for descendants of my father’s people

-

SIR, I am a 75-year-old Irish engineer living for many years in Germany and I am currently working on putting together a family tree. I need some help and hope one of your readers can help me in my search for descendants of my father’s people.

My great-grandfather Michael Lyne (born 1840), married Mary (née Connor) Lyne in 1844 and they reared seven children in Quaybaun, Caragh. My grandfather Timothy (born 1874) left Kerry late in the 1800s or early 1900s and married Mary Reynolds (born 1875) from Tooman, Co Leitrim in Glasgow in 1906. My father, also Timothy, was born in Limerick in 1912 before the family returned to Scotland some years later. I was born in Glasgow in 1942.

Can anyone help me with details on Ellen (born 1870); Mary (1870); Thomas (1872); John (1876); Michael (1878) or Nora (1882). They were all included on the 1901 / 1911 census returns for Quaybaun, Caragh.

My interest is purely personal and without any commercial or inheritance implications.
