Open day at Meán­scoil Nuaan Leith Triúigh

MEÁN­SCOIL Nua an Lei­thTriúigh is hold­ing an open evening to in­tro­duce prospec­tive stu­dents and their par­ents to the grow­ing school.

The school catch­ment area in­cludes all the lo­cal area and it is also served by buses from Din­gle via An­nascaul and Camp, Blen­nerville, the Ma­ha­rees and Cloghane.

The ad­di­tion of two class­rooms which are planned for com­ple­tion by De­cem­ber 2018 will ex­tend the ca­pac­ity at the sec­ond-level school from the present 150 pupils.

Meán Scoil an Leith-Triúigh was founded in 1961 by Ai­dan and Sheila Mulc­ahy when they started pro­vid­ing sec­ond level ed­u­ca­tion in a hall in Castle­gre­gory. Due to a lack of a suit­able premises they moved the school to their home in Cloghane where it re­mained un­til the present school was opened in Castle­gre­gory in 2005.

The open evening starts at 6pm on Oc­to­ber 19 and ev­ery­one is welcome.
