Life honour for Martin

AT a special reception in Killarney Golf Club last Sunday, Mairead Martin was awarded Honorary Life Membership following her Senior Cap for Ireland this year when she played in the Home Internationals. The reception was attended by her family, Club President Breeda Duggan, Lady Captain Amy, Captain Declan, committee members and club members.

Mairead began playing golf at the young age of 11 in 2011, with a handicap of 36,. and finished 2016 +1. Mairead is currently playing off +2.

She has played across Europe and in Ontario, Canada. She has a brilliant playing record at national and international level. At club level she has played in the Senior Foursomes All-Ireland winning team in 2014 and the Senior Cup All-Ireland winning team this, as well as having played, by invitation, in the Duke of York Trophy last month.
