Kerry interest in Juvenile Derby semi

-

HUGE Kerry interest will focus on the second semi-final of the Dublin Coach Juvenile Derby (winner, €22,500) at Shelbourne Park this Friday night, for the very good reason that three of the runners are either trained or owned by people in the county.

The unbeaten Man Twenty One, trained by Brendan Maunsell, is in trap 1 and will surely go off favourite after another scorching run of 28.25 in the third quarter-final last Friday night.

In trap 5 will be Ballymac Twitter, owned and trained by Liam Dowling and a short-head runner-up to Pennys Koopa in 28.65 in the fourth quarter-final.

Housed in trap 6 will be that flying starter, Portmageewiseguy, which Owen McKenna trains for Aidan O’Sullivan, of Portmagee, and which lost to Man Twenty One by a length and a half on Friday night.
