The Kerryman (South Kerry Edition)
Dicksgrove & Listowel ICMSA branches electing new officers
THE Dicksgrove Area of Kerry ICMSA will meet on Tuesday 17 October in Ulick’s of Farranfore at 8.30pm to elect officers for the coming year.
The meeting will be addressed by Gerald Quain, Chairperson of the Diary Committee and in addition to the elections the agenda will cover a dairy and beef update, the proposed Nitrates Regulations - already described by the association as flawed and requiring major revision. The Budget will also likely furnish several talking points.
The meeting will be chaired by Farranfore farmer, Niall Broderick, with James Barry, also of Farranfore, acting as secretary.
Listowel Area will hold their elections the following Thursday – 19 October – in the Listowel Arms Hotel at 8.30pm. The meeting will be addressed by Pat McCormack, Deputy President, and the agenda will be the same.
Chairperson will be David Diggins of Ballybunnion with John Fitzmaurice of Bunghara, Listowel, acting as secretary.
