Fixture: Sunday, 18 Hole S/ford sponsored by O’Sullivan Bakery, Killorglin. RIGHT: At the IGTOA Awards, the Parkland Golf Course of the Year award went to the Killeen course at Killarney Golf Club. General Manager Cormac Flannery and Head Greenkeeper Enda Murphy accepted the award, from IGTOA member Catherine Murphy, of Irish Pro Golf Tours, and David McCoy, Waterford Crystal.
The Killeen course at Killarney Golf Club has been awarded the ‘Best Parkland Course in Ireland’ at the Ireland Golf Tour Operator Association (IGTOA) awards. The award ceremony was part of an annual National Golf Tourism Conference and is the largest gathering of Irish Golf Tourism professionals from all areas of the industry.
The award is in recognition of the investment and conditioning programme that has been carried out on Killeen over the past four years and is a great accolade ahead of the club’s celebration of its 125th anniversary next year. Further course development projects are also planned over the coming months.
