QUILLS WOOLLEN MILLS UNDER 14 Premier

LISTOWEL Celtic and Killarney Athletic both enjoyed win on Saturday to go joint top of the table.

For the North Kerry Celtic side Robert Stack scored three with Christophe­r McEvoy getting the fourth while Ryan O’Leary and Borja Fernandez replied for Killarney Celtic.

Killarney Athletic got off to the worst possible start as Dynamos scored twice inside the first 10 minutes. But the Woodlawn side fought back and by half-time it was 2-2 thanks to goals from Alex Hennigan in the 16th minute and Dylan Roche on 22 minutes.

Both teams had changes to win the game before the vital goal came in the 27th minute of the second half with Athletic’s Dylan Roche getting the vital score.

The Park and Killorglin drew 0-0 which sees that latter onto five points with The Park fourth on four points.

Division 1

IN the U-14 Division 1 Ballyhar were pushed all the way by Iveragh United before they extended their unbeaten winning streak to five games.

At Murt Scott Park the home side were 1-0 up at half-time thanks to a goal from Colm O’Shea after great work by James Horgan to set him up. Iveragh United equalised mid-way through the second half and the winner didn’t come until two minutes from full time. James Horgan again did brilliantl­y to set-up Archie O’Connor for the vital goal.

Killarney Celtic B took the points at Celtic Park as they defeated Killorglin B 5-2. The Hoops goals came from Kieran Boyne, Jack Tangney, Steve Lynch, Eamon Guiney and Eugene Crowley.

Mastergeeh­a were playing their first game and were too strong for Inter Kenmare. Goals for the Kilbrean Park side came from Donagh Fahy, Oisin O’Leary, Dara O’Shea, Mark O’Shea, Max Brzowski, Dara O’Callaghan and Jack Higgins.

Division 2

FENIT’S 3-0 win away at LB Rovers sees them move onto four points and level with Castleisla­nd and Rovers on four points at the top of the table. Eddie McCarthy hit two and Dylan Ryan the other in their win.

MEK got their first three points following a 2-0 win over Listowel Celtic B. Sean Griffin and Eddie Moroney got the MEK goals.

Girls

INTER Kenmare have opened the Quills Woollen Mills Under 14 Girls League with a win over newcomers Fenit. Credit to Fenit for the work they are doing for Girls soccer and their day will come soon. Molly Bhamvra had a great day controllin­g matters and also getting herself onto the score sheet twice.

Sarah Taylor, Maja Garysecka and the outstandin­g Grace Roberts-White got the other Fenit goals.

SUBWAY UNDER 16 Division 1

WITH the Kerry Under 16 in action on Sunday in the Subway Inter League there was only one game on in the Under 16 Division.

Camp Juniors made it two wins from two with a 6-0 win at home to Inter Kenmare. Alan O’Grady scored three with Cian O’Grady, Adam Costello and Jack Shannon all getting on the score sheet.
