THE MONSIGNOR HUGH O’FLAHERTY MEMORIAL SOCIETY EXHIBITION.
This will take place at Killarney Library from Friday the third – Saturday, November 11, during library opening hours. Also, on Friday, November 3, at 10.30 a.m., author Róisín Meaney will hold a special storytime for children up to six years of age as part of Children’s Book Festival.
On Tuesday, November 7, 7.30 p.m., Kerry Archaeological and Historical Society will host a lecture entitled the Enigmatic Brian Ó Ceallaigh agus an t-Óileanach delivered by local historian Donie O’Sullivan. Free admission to all events.
MASTERGEEHA FC
Under-12 – Killarney Celtic five Mastergeeha two. In this local derby the boys started well with Dara Moynihan hitting the post early on. However, mid-way through the half the home side took the lead and scored two further goals in quick succession. Mastergeeha pulled a goal back before the break when Liam Horgan scored. In the second half Mastergeeha pushed forward with Liam Horgan and John Hughes going close. However, the home side scored again after this Mastergeeha pulled a goal back when Diarmuid Furlong scored following a corner by Aaron Buckley.
Under-14 – Mastergeeha seven Inter Kenmare 0. In this good team performance the won at home on Saturday morning. Donagh Fahy, Oisin O’Leary, Dara O’Shea, Mark O’Shea, Max Brzowski, Dara O’Callaghan and Jack Higgins were the goal scorers.
PREMIER A. Mastergeeha one Dingle two. In this close game the seniors were unlucky not to get a point. The visitors took the lead early on but Mastergeeha battle back to equalise just before half time when James Nagle finished well. After this both sides created some chances till the final quarter when Dingle took the lead again. All tried their best and deserved at least a draw.
