1. BALLYHEIGU­E GAA SET FOR NIGHT OF DANCING

BALLYHEIGU­E GAA are putting their best foot forward this coming Saturday, November 4, when the club host their 2017 ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ night.

Taking place at the Ballyroe Heights Hotel, all proceeds from the event will be going towards the developmen­t of the clubs juvenile and senior hurling and football teams.

The event is now sold out, but keep an eye on the clubs Facebook pages for videos and photos from the night.

2. ARDFERT TO HOST ‘TASTE OF CHRISTMAS’

A DATE to mark in your calendar is Thursday November 9, as Ardfert N.S prepares to hold its third year of the ‘Taste of Christmas’ cookery demonstrat­ion.

Taking place in Ballyroe Heights Hotel, the night will be presented by a number of award winning chefs from Tralee.

Featuring a complement­ary mulled wine and mince pie reception, tickets are set to cost €10 and are available from Croì Restaurant, Tralee and Ardfert School; tickets will also be available at the door on the night. Doors open at 7pm.

3. CHRISTIE’S FESTIVAL ON THIS WEEKEND

THE popular Christie Hennessy Festival returns again to Tralee this coming weekend, with lots of love music planned over the weekend.

Taking place in the Ashe Hotel on the night of Friday November 3 and Saturday November 4, this years festival will mark the tenth anniversar­y of the singers death.

Admission to The Troubadour Club on Friday, November 3 is only €10 while admission to the IMRO Song Competitio­n Final on Saturday, November 4 is free both events will get underway at 8.30pm. Tickets available on the door on the night.

4. CRAFT FAIR SET FOR KNOCKNAGOS­HEL

THE annual craft fair in Knocknagos­hel will take place this coming Sunday November 5 at 12pm at the Knocknagos­hel Community Centre.

5. CIRCUS FESTIVAL ON ITS WAY TO TRALEE

THE National Circus Festival of Ireland is making its way back to Tralee next weekend and excitement is already building for what promises to be an entertaini­ng few days.

Juggling, acrobats, clowns and a movie night are all part of the lineup over the weekend - the full lineup and tickets for which can be bought at www.circusfest­ival.ie

6. LISTOWEL PREPS FOR FOOD FAIR

THE Listowel Arms Hotel is busying itself this week as it gets set to host the official opening night of the ‘Listowel Food Fair’.

Taking place on the night of November 9, special guests on the night will include TV3’s Simon Delaney and local chef Lizzy Lyons.

Tickets are currently on sale for the evening, will cost €15 and are available from the Listowel Arms Hotel, Lizzys Little Kitchen or the Nano Nagle.

7. KIDS FUN DAY IN LISTOWEL

PARENTS and children alike are invited to the Listowel Arms Hotel today (Wednesday November 1) for the ‘Magical All Stars’ event.

This fully interactiv­e event for kids will take place from 6pm to 7:30pm this evening and will cost €10 per person and €40 for a family of 5; tickets are available on arrival and doors will open 30 minutes before the show.

8. MUSICAL FUN SET FOR SIAMSA

A NEW musical entitled ‘Promise and Promiscuit­y’ is set to entertain audiences in Siamsa Tíre tomorrow night, Thursday, November 2.

Starting at 8pm, tickets for the show are set to cost between €14 to €16 and are available to buy from the Siamsa box office before the show or possibly on the night.

9. ‘VIVALDI’ SHOW COMES TO SIAMSA TÍRE

THEATRE Lovett is bringing their brand new show to Siamsa Tíre next week - a show that has been described as “sparkling” and “riotously inventive”, it will take place on Thursday November 9.

Aimed towards children aged seven and upwards and for adults of all ages, tickets for this show are set to cost €7 through the box office at 0667123055.

10. GET EXERCISING THIS WEEKEND

WHY not try to head down to take part in one of the many parkruns taking place around Kerry at the weekends?

There are four parkruns in Kerry: Tralee, Killarney, Listowel and the Tralee Junior parkrun.

These free 5km events are run every weekend by volunteers and they have been proven to be extremely popular in improving both physical and mental health.

The Tralee. Listowel and Killarney parkruns are held every Saturday morning from 9:30am onwards while the Tralee Junior parkrun takes place on Sunday at 9:30am - these 2km events are aged for children from 4-14 years old. People can register and print off their barcode at parkrun.ie.
