CITIZEN INFORMATION
Citizens Information Service: The Kerry citizens Information Service will have access to a mobile information bus for all of Kerry from the 6th to the 10th November’17! The Information Bus will be in the South Kerry area on Friday 10th November at the following locations: Valentia Island Opposite the Royal Valentia Hotel, Knightstown Time - 10.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m.
Portmagee Community Centre, Time - 11.15 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. The Glen - Glen Day Care Centre Time 1.30 p.m. to 2.30 p.m. Ballinskelligs Post Office Time 2.45 to 4.00 p.m. This is a free and confidential service.
COMPUTER CLASSES
There will be a computer class for farmers starting soon in the Ballinskelligs Community Centre. Classes will cover Data Entry to DAFM site, Calf registration, etc. If interested please contact Dessy Cronin at 066 9479111 to register and find out further information. INTERESTING EVENT
A Heritage Iveragh presentation by military historian Justin Horgan on World War2 German Air Crashes in Ireland takes place on Monday, November 20th at 8:00pm in Ionad na Dromada, Cillín Liath. Justin is co-author of the book Luftwaffe Eagles Over Ireland The Story of German Air Crashes over Neutral Ireland 1940-1945. He will focus on crashes in Kerry including those near the Blaskets, on Mount Brandon, near the Skelligs, in Kenmare Bay and the JU88 (“The Great German Plane” of the song) 1941 crash landing at Caolbóig, Mastergeehy. He will also cover the situation in Ireland at the time, the Coastwatch Service, internment in the Curragh, war graves and the later lives of some of the crew. Everyone is welcome.

HERITAGE CENTRE
Coiste Forbartha na Sceilge are at present in the process of developing the Garda Barracks as a Heritage Centre. It is hoped that the Centre will provide the community with an opportunity to record and exhibit the varied heritage of the area and act as a source of information for both visitor and local alike. A meeting will be held to provide everyone in the community with an opportunity to make suggestions as to how the building can be developed as a Heritage Centre. This meeting will be held on Thursday 16th November at 8.30pm in the Community Hall. Everyone welcome and tell your friends.
