CULTURAL CELEBRATIO­N:

Celebrate the richness of cultural diversity in our community from Kells-Castlecove on 25/11/2017 - 3.30pm at The Old Barracks for displays of cultures, workshops, refreshmen­ts and a procession of flags to the Church at 7pm followed by Mass at 7.30pm in the O’Connell Memorial Church. Volunteers needed to support the young people from the KDYS youth group and Iveragh Parish youth group to run the event. Contact Anne Murphy KDYS 087 7801575 for further info.

COMMEMORAT­ION

Sunday 12 November marks the 75th anniversar­y of the death of Maurice O’Neill. A commemorat­ion in his honour will take place on this Sunday 12 November in Cahersivee­n. A parade led by The Valentia Pipe Band will assemble at 12:00 at The Republican Monument and march to Killovarno­gue Cemetery where the life and cause of Maurice O’Neill will remembered. All welcome.
