NOVEMBER MASSES

The November masses for those who died during the year in the Parish will take place in Ballyhar on Friday 10th November at 7.30pm and Firies on Friday 17th November at 7.30pm.

Community Care Lunch will take place on Friday 10th November at 1.00pm. Please note change of day and all are welcome.

BALLYHAR DYNAMOS FC

The club will hold a video race night on Wednesday 27th December at Sheahan’s Bar. Horses and advertisements are on sale. The club thanks the public for its on-going support.

THANKS: to all who supported the athletic club church gate collection at the weekend. It is much appreciated.

TEAMS: Our under 15s were in action on Bank Holiday monday whe they entertained killarney athletic at murt scott park where they had a 6-1 victory. Playing good attractive football our goal scorers were Peter Cosgrave with a hat t rick ,Aaron o Shea with Two and one from Christopher Palmer.Michael Brosnan ,Brian Burke ,& anthony Kelliher also played well. On Saturday last our U17s made the trip to Mastergeeha where the spoils were shared in a 2-2 draw with a Conor Henderson strike putting us in front and a late Harry Doody strike gaining us a deserved draw.Best on the day in a good game were Eoin Talbot ,Craig Boyle o Sullivan ,James o Leary & Conor o sullivan.

RACENIGHT - Wednesday 27th december at Sheahans Bar ,Firies is the Date.Horses €40 each , Syndicate of two €20 each. Advertisements costing €100 , €60 & €40 for our race book also availabe from club members.

CLUB TOPS - Availabe from Murphy sports ,Castleisland. Kits from the very young to Adult members in stock at reasonable rates.

FIRIES COMMUNITY GAMES

The Annual County awards night was held in the River Island Hotel on Friday night. This was a very well attended and enjoyable night which shows that Community Games is very active and very busy in the County. An Emergency General Meeting of Firies Community Games will be held upstairs in Farranfore Hall on Thursday 9th November at 8.30pm. Everyone welcome to attend. We especially welcome new members.
