CHRISTMAS CRAFT FAIR

Christmas Craft Fair to be held in Kilcummin on the weekend of Saturday evening the 9th and Sunday morning 10th of December. Each table cost €20 with table proceeds going to Kilcummin Defibrilla­tor Group.

If you are interested in selling or show casing you craft, contact Mary Brosnan on 087 6447536. It’s an ideal opportunit­y to advertise your craft within the community and surroundin­g area. Please share if you know anyone that would be interested.

Anabla Parents Associatio­n are holding a Christmas Bazaar at Anabla NS on Sunday 3rd December from 2-5pm. All are welcome! Santa’s Grotto, Children’s Craft Creations, Book Sale, Home Baking, Wheel of Fortune, Spot Prizes.

The Monsignor Hugh O’Flaherty Memorial Society Exhibition continues at Killarney Library until Saturday 11th November during library opening hours.

MARIAN PLAYERS

In recognitio­n of its contributi­on and service to the community life of the area for more than 30 years, Killarney Municipal Council has invited the group to be the recipient of a civic reception hosted by them in the board room of Rathmore Credit Union at 12.00 noon on December 6th next. Acknowledg­ing that this time won’t suit everybody, we encourage all those who can, especially the members from the 1980s and onwards, as well as present members who are available to attend. The council wishes to send out a written invitation to the attendees. The Moriarty School of Dancing are still taking orders for half zip hoodies. If you would like to view or order one please contact John on 086-1579381 for details as soon as possible as the order will have to go in shortly to be available for Christmas.

MASTERGEEH­A FC

U11 Mastergeeh­a v Killarney Celtic. On Saturday morning the boys had their first outing. They played two games and did well in both.

U13 NATIONAL CUP Tulla 1 Mastergeeh­a 3. The boys qualified for the next round of the cup with a good away win in Clare on Saturday. Eoin Kelly (2) and Hugh Lenihan were the scorers in a good team performanc­e.

U13 DIV 2 Mastergeeh­a 2 Fenit

4. The visitors started better and went two goals up early on but the boy’s battle back and Euan Evans scored before half time. In the second half both side created some chances with both goalkeeper­s making good saves. However it was the visitors that scored again. After this Mastergeeh­a pulled a goal back when Ryan McGuirl scored. In the closing stages Fenit scored again.

U15 NATIONAL CUP: Park 5 Mastergeeh­a 0. The boys exited this year’s cup away to a good Park team.

U17 Mastergeeh­a 2 Ballyhar

2. Mastergeeh­a started the better with Sipo O’Neill having a shot cleared off the line in the opening minutes. However midway through the half Ballyhar took the lead. In the second half Mastergeeh­a pushed forward and got the equaliser when Dylan Murphy converted a penalty after being fouled.

Shortly after Mastergeeh­a when ahead when Dylan Murphy scored again following a cross by Philip O’Leary. In the closing stages Ballyhar equalised. All for Mastergeeh­a played well.

CLUB GEAR: Club Gear will be on sale at the clubhouse on Saturdays. Track suits, Hoodies, T-shirts, Shorts, and caps available with orders taken on the day for Christmas presents.

There was no winner on Friday 3rd November, 2017. Numbers drawn were 4, 12, 22, 26. Consolatio­n prizes were €100 Joan O’Gorman, Coolick, Kilcummin. €30 Makaela & Marie Curtin, Knocklebed­e. €30 Una O’Leary, Lyreatough, Kilcummin. €30 Frank O’Sullivan, Loor Dromulton, Currow. Jackpot now €3,000.

Kilcummin Comhaltas upcoming events

A big thank you to everyone who supported our bag packing fundraisin­g event last weekend and to all who supported our church gate collection. All funds will go directly to facilitate our branch continuing to promoting Irish music, song, dance and the Irish language within the KIlcummin area.

Once again would also like to extend an open invitation to an Evening of Entertainm­ent showcasing our local Musicians, Singers & Dancers

In the Klub Bar in Kilcummin this Friday November 3rd at 7.30pm. Fantastic spot prizes to be won on the night and everyone is welcome to attend. Entry is free.
