A successful year for Muckross Park
THE Muckross Park Hotel and Spa’s Yew Tree Restaurant has been recognised for its culinary excellence with the awarding of a 2 AA Rosette award.
The AA Rosette is an award recognising exceptionally high standards in culinary excellence demonstrated by AA Accredited restaurants across Ireland and the UK.
The aim of the Rosette system is to provide reliable information for all patrons about where to eat.
To receive the award of 2 AA Rosettes demonstrates a great precision in cooking and attention to the selection of quality ingredients.
Muckross Park Hotel & Spa Manager Daniel O’Connor said; the hotel was delighted with the accolade.
“We are delighted for the restaurant and kitchen teams who are committed to enhancing the standard of service and quality of the dishes served each year. This accolade is a testament to their outstanding work,” he said.
Speaking with Executive Chef John O’Leary, he explained some of the factors that helped the Yew Tree win the award,
“We are very lucky here in Kerry with top quality produce available on our doorstep. We believe in cooking great ingredients in a simple and uncomplicated manner. I’m extremely proud of my team on winning this fantastic award,” said Mr O’Leary.
It’s been a successful 12 months for the Yew tree restaurant which also won Kerry’s Best Hotel Restaurant at the Restaurant Association of Ireland awards this year.
Meanwhile the Muckross Park Hotel and Spa has also made it on to the McKenna Guide’s 100 Top places to stay in Ireland this year and has been listed in Georgina Campbell’s Ireland Guide 2017.
