It’s all going on in Ardfert NS as Christmas time draws near

- By FERGUS DENNEHY

THERE’S never a dull moment at Ardfert NS, that’s for sure, with the school this past week celebrating the success of two of its latest projects.

The first of these successes came in the form of the school’s annual ‘Christmas Shoe Box Appeal’ which saw the staff and students collect over 130 boxes of toys and other fun items, which are now set to be donated to Team HOPE for Children in Eastern Europe and Africa.

Never one to rest on their laurels too much, the school was back in the spotlight soon after when the fifth class celebrated the screening of their play and film in the Helix in Dublin.

The play, entitled ‘Gooseberry Fair’, was written and directed entirely by the pupils in the class, all of whom were delighted when it was announced that they would all be heading up to the big city to see their masterpiece in all of its glory.

With a few weeks still to go until Christmas, watch this space for more Ardfert NS news and celebrations!
