Alan celebrates fatstock victory

THERE were great celebrations following last Saturday’s fat stock show and sale at Dingle Mart where a locally bred heifer was declared the supreme champion.

Alan Moriarty of Baile Caneen, Glens, took the prize for his 762kg Belgian Blue heifer that sold for €2,100.

She was a “grand beast” said mart manager Neilus McAuliffe who congratulated Alan on the achievement that will long be remembered in the Moriarty household
