Versatile four legged shepherd

DONNACHADH Lynch, originally of Rathangan, Co Kildare, who has parental connections in Valentia Island and Ohermong, Renard, is the friendly and accommodating face behind the counter at the Point Bar and Restaurant and is also engaged in farming in the Gurrane area outside the town of Cahirsiveen. Donnachadh’s shepherd dog ‘Lucky’ is not only adept at rounding up sheep but can also apply the skill to keeping the farm geese in check as well. Donnachadh is currently training his lucky and talented canine in the rounding up of cattle to make it the most talented farming dog in Iveragh pastures.
