The Kerryman (South Kerry Edition)
THE GAME IN 60 SECONDS
MAINMAN
Plenty of accomplished performers in Crokes’ colours, particularly Gavin White and Micheal Burns, but JOHNNY BUCKLEY didn’t put a foot or hand wrong all day. His high fielding was brilliant and he finished his goal with great aplomb
KEY MOMENT
From Buckley’s 14th minute goal the result was never really in doubt, but the second half might have been stickier for Crokes had Martin McMahon scored a goal just before half time when he broke clear to go one-on-one with Johnny O’Leary but he blazed over the bar
TALKING POINT
With news coming out of Mallow that Nemo Rangers were well ahead of Adare in the other semi-final - the Cork champions won by 2-17 to 0-4 - the talk was of where the Munster Final would be held. These clubs last met in Mallow a few years back but on Tuesday Pairc Ui Rinn was confirmed as the venue for the final on November 26 at 2pm.
