Track open on Saturday

THERE will be no racing at Tralee Track this Saturday night, but, very wisely, it has been decided to open the venue so that racegoers will be able see the brilliant Night Of Stars action from Shelbourne Park on the track monitors.

This is, arguably, the best night’s racing of the year at headquarters, better than even Irish Derby final night, and it is likely that quite a few will turn up at the Oakview venue to watch all the action unfold.

There will be an admission charge of €5 and full tote and bar facilities will be available. A pity, though, that a switch couldn’t have been made to cancel a different night’s racing at Tralee.
