1. ASHE HOTEL TO HOST ‘BRITAINS GOT TALENT’

THE Ashe Hotel in Tralee is getting set to host auditions for local people, with the chance to appear on show ‘Britains Got Talent’ (BGT) on offer.

Taking place from 2pm to 6pm on Monday, November 20, the crew from BGT will be looking out for singers, dancers and other special talents; U16’s must be accompanie­d by a parent or guardian.

2. COMEDY NIGHT IN AID OF ST MARY OF THE ANGELS

THERE will be grins from ear to ear in the ‘Inn Between Bar’ in Beaufort this coming Friday night, November 17 as a night of comedy in aid of St Mary of the Angels takes place.

John Colleary, he of the Savage Eye fame, Fred Cooke of the Tommy Tiernan Show and South Kerry’s very own Bernard Casey will be the main draw on a night of laughs;

Tickets for the fundraisin­g show are set to cost €20 and are available either on the night or from the Inn Between Bar; doors are set to open at 8:30pm with the show itself kicking off at 9pm.

3. CH CHEMIST TO HOST CUSTOMER EVENING

ENJOY a wonderful evening of festive cheer at CH Chemists this coming Friday, November 17 as the shop prepares to hold its annual Customer Appreciati­on evening.

Running 6pm to 8pm, customers will be able to enjoy a mulled wine and cookie reception before meeting Santa Claus; this is a ticket only event - compliment­ary tickets are available in store now.

4. MIKE DENVER AT THE ROSE HOTEL THIS WEEKEND

ONE of Irelands most popular performers will perform in the Rose Hotel this coming Friday night, November 17.

The show will kick off at 8pm on the night with tickets set to cost €30 - they are available from reception before the event or by buying on the door on the night.

5. MENTAL HEALTH TALK BY KERINS O’RAHILLYS

THERE will be a free mental health informatio­n evening held in the Kerins O’ Rahillys GAA clubhouse on the night of Friday November 17 at 8pm.

The event will focus on improving the mental health, well being and working life of sports people and sporting communitie­s.

6. ‘LADIES IN BLUE’ PLAY ON ITS WAY TO SIAMSA TÍRE

A music journey charting women’s role in the progressio­n of the blues, with four Irish women of the blues accompanie­d by a cracking live blues band, will make its way to Siamsa Tíre in Tralee on the night of Friday, November 17 at 8pm.

Flo McSweeney, Emma Nicolai, Jhil Quinn & Clara Rose are some of the main draws on the night; tickets for the show are currently on sale and are set to cost between €18 and €21.

7. TRIO OF MUSICIANS COMING TO WATERVILLE

DERMOT Byrne, Steve Cooney and Trevor Hutchinson will play in the Tech Amergin Arts Centre in Waterville on Saturday November 25, in what promises to be a great night for all.

Pre-booking for this event is seen as essential; tickets are set to cost between €12 to €15 and can be booked through the Tech Amergin Box Office on 0669478956.

8. JOHN TRAVOLTA BRINGS CLASSIC TO SCREEN

JOHN Travolta will bring his ‘Saturday Night Fever’ to the Tralee Omniplex this coming MOnday night, November 20 at 7:30pm.

The screening is part of the Tralee cinema’s ‘Bring It Back’ campaign, where they screen four classic movies a month; pre-booking is recommende­d for this film.

9. SUCCESSFUL TD COMING TO THE INEC

JOHN Kenny and Mary McEvoy will touch down in the INEC in KIllarney this Saturday night, November 18 they they perform an adaptation of John B Keane’s plat, ‘The Successful TD’.

Tickets for this show are currently on sale from the INEC and will cost €27.65; doors open at 7pm on the night and the show will start at 8pm.

10. GET EXERCISING THIS WEEKEND WITH PARKRUN

WHY not try to head down to take part in one of the many parkruns taking place around Kerry at the weekends?

There are four parkruns in Kerry: Tralee, Killarney, Listowel and the Tralee Junior parkrun.

These free 5km events are run every weekend by volunteers and they have been proven to be extremely popular in improving both physical and mental health.

The Tralee. Listowel and Killarney parkruns are held every Saturday morning from 9:30am onwards while the Tralee Junior parkrun takes place on Sunday at 9:30am - these 2km events are aged for children from 4-14 years old. People can register and print off their barcode at parkrun.ie.
