O’Sullivan inducted to the North Kerry hurling hall of fame
FORMER Munster Council President and long-time GAA administrator, Teddy O’Sullivan (Ballyduff) was honoured with the Hall of Fame Award at the North Kerry Hurling Board Annual Awards function at Ballyroe Heights Hotel.
Guest of Honour on the night was former Tipperary All-Ireland goalkeeper and All Star, Brendan Cummins while awards were presented to the following for their performances in finals during 2017:
U-13 - Kieran O’Carroll [Ballyduff] & Calum O’Sullivan [Abbeydorney]; U-14 - Jordan Goggin [Ballyheigue] & Tadhg Reen [Tralee Parnells]; U-15 - JP O’Carroll [Ballyduff] & Eoin Relihan [Crotta]; U-16 - Darragh Murnane [Crotta] & Ruairí O’Donovan [Abbeydorney]; Minor - Michael Kelliher [Lixnaw]; Tom Healy Under 15 Tournament presentations: Cup Final - Graham Slattery [Ballyheigue]; Shield - Darragh Slattery [Ballyduff]; Player of the Tournament - Oisín Maunsell [Abbeydorney]; North Kerry Senior Championship Man of the Match Paud Costello [Ballyduff].
A special appreciation award was made to Maurice Leahy while presentations were also made to Sonny Egan [Crotta], Darragh Shanahan [Lixnaw], Shane Conway [Lixnaw] and Amy O’Sullivan [Cillard] to honour their various achievements during the year.

CROTTA O’Neill’s Hurling Club five week come-and-try hurling sessions for boys and girls of Dromclough National School in St Senans Sports Hall, Mountcoal continue on this Saturday from 5.30 to 6.30pm. The sessions are for children from third and fourth class, no charge. Hurleys and helmets will be provided.
