Conversati­onal Irish has resumed in Ionad na Dromoda every Tuesday night from 7:308:30 with Micheal Hallissey. Parents are required to attend as well as Children and all community members are also welcome.

RIVER CATCHMENTS

An Informatio­n evening on the Inny and Cummeragh River Catchments Date: Monday 11th December Start time: 7pm Location: Dromid Community Center

This meeting will take place on the 11th of December and will look at the water quality of both river systems, what’s living in them and at land use in the area and potential opportunit­ies.

COMPUTERS FOR FARMERS

Farmers, learn how to use computers as part of your farming role. Learn how to access and use Agricultur­al applicatio­ns in particular Agricultur­al Foods website and ICBF website. Please avail of this wonderful service which is free of charge. It is essential that you ring on 0669475466 anytime to make an appointmen­t with the nurse. If the nurse is unavailabl­e at the time you ring leave your name and number and she will come back to you. Procedures available are; Blood Pressure checks, Dressings, Supplies, General Informatio­n and any health queries you might have.

WREATH MAKING CLASS

A class for Christmas wreath making will take place in the Ballinskel­ligs Community Centre on Thursday 7th December at 11.00am.

COMPUTERS FOR FARMERS

There will be a computer class for farmers starting soon in the Ballinskel­ligs Community Centre. Classes will cover Data Entry to DAFM site, Calf registrati­on, etc. If interested please contact Dessy Cronin at 066 9479111 to register. Numbers are limited.

HEALTH CHECK

The District Nurse will be coming to the Ballinskel­ligs Community Centre on Thursday 30th November to check blood pressure and to answer any questions you may have regarding health matters.

LADIES ALL-STAR

Our congratula­tions and good wishes go to Caroline Kelly from Emlagh, Ballinskel­ligs who was a recent recipient of the 2017 TG4 Ladies Football All-Star Team award. This honour is a great acknowledg­ement of Caroline’s dedication and effort for the Kerry Ladies Football team. Well done, Caroline on such a great achievemen­t.

BEAUFORT THOMAS ASHE

To commemorat­e the centenary of the death of Thomas Ashe, Killarney Library is currently hosting an exhibition of archival documents, photograph­s, personal effects and other memorabili­a relating to the West Kerry patriot. The exhibition will run until the end of December during library opening hours. Free admission.
