CIVIC RECEPTION

A Civic Reception was held this week at a meeting of the South and West Kerry Municipal District to honor young Jack Nagle, a student at Killorglin Community College who has invented a device that will help prevent Tractor accidents and fatalities. Jack has won numerous awards for his invention including at the Young Scientists Exhibition and at the National Ploughing Championships. The Civic Reception was proposed by Councillor Michael Cahill who said Jack was an inspiration and had done his family, his school, his friends and his county proud. The Fianna Fail Councillor said Jack’s invention was of huge significance as there were far too many Farm accidents and fatalities in Ireland today. Councillor Cahill also wished Jack and his fellow students every success in the road ahead. Also present at the Reception were Jack’s parents, family and friends, Principal of Killorglin Community College, Con Moynihan and a number of Jack’s school friends.
