A message from Castleisland Chamber Alliance at Christmas
WE are a retail town and Christmas is a major time for us as we aim to provide as many options as we can to people from a retail, commercial and social point of view. Castleisland Chamber Alliance enables us to put a structure to the work we do which has proven to be a successful way of doing things. In essence, the chamber has a wide focus and we’re constantly trying to improve the town and make it a good place to live and work, as well as a place for people visiting for business and pleasure.
We’re also very pleased at how the business hub initiative which we started earlier this year has progressed. The shared office space aspect is very much how business will function in the future and we are hoping this space would help to incubate extra businesses and increase the footfall to Castleisland over time.
We have a great spread of businesses in Castleisland with quality shops, restaurants, bars, fashion, furnishing, hardware, electrical appliances and many more social and recreational aspects that we are proud of.
Many of our businesses are locally owned and this also is very important as it lends itself to greater customer interaction and familiarity which customers feel is important.
Christmas for the Chamber is a time to give something back to the community and in particular to the children. Our recent arrival of Santa and turning on the lights event was a success and even though we had to alter preparations slightly this year due to safety concerns, the enjoyment factor was no less apparent creating a huge buzz in the town, which is what it’s all about this time of year.
Lastly, on behalf of Castleisland Chamber Alliance I wish everyone a peaceful Christmas and a happy and safe New Year.
Jeremy Burke, PRO of Castleisland Chamber Alliance
