FUNDRAISING DISCO

Scartaglen Parents Council annual fundraising disco takes place on this Wednesday night December 20th from 6.30pm to 8pm at the Heritage Centre. Lots of fantastic prizes including 1st prize: Overnight for two people in the Maritime Hotel Bantry, 2nd prize €100: 3rd prize: €50 voucher for Mc Elligotts Furniture Castleisland. Lots of fun and fabulous spot prizes on the night. All Welcome!

MOBILE LIBRARY

The mobile library’s next visit to Scartaglin will be on Thursday December 21 from 9.45am to 10.15 am. This is the last opportunity to borrow books and audio visual material before Christmas. This is an excellent service and is free as well.

GAA CELEBRATION NIGHT

Scartaglin GAA Club will honour and celebrate The Kerry Minors great victory in this years All-Ireland Final with a night in the Heritage Centre on this Thursday December 21 and also honoured on the night will be local minor stars Eddie and Sean Horan from Coolnageragh, as well as honouring past minor players from the locality. There will also be a medal presentation to underage teams. Activities commence at 7.30pm, so it should be a great night.

CHILDCARE CENTRE

The staff and management of Scartaglen Childcare Centre would like to wish all a very Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year. The Creche will close on Friday December 22 at 1pm and will re-open on Thursday January 4th 2018. The Pre-School and After School will re-open on Monday January 8th 2018.

GOALMILE

The annual GOAL Mile will take place at An Riocht Athletic Grounds, Castleisland on Christmas Day morning from 10am to 12.30pm. You can walk, run or jog and you can help a charity too in the process all are welcome.

CHRISTMASS MASSES

Times of masses for Christmas in the churches in the Parish are as follows: Scartaglen Christmas Eve, Sunday December 24th at 8pm: Christmas Day mass Monday December 25th at 10.30am. Cordal Christmas Eve mass at 10pm, Christmas Day morning mass at 9.30am. Castleisland Christmas Eve mass at 7pm and 9pm, Christmas Day mass at 11.30am.

HOSPICE COLLECTION

Castleisland Hospice will hold their Annual Church Gate Collection on the evening of Saturday December 23rd and on the morning of Sunday December 24th . Your support would be greatly appreciated.

SAMARITANS APPEAL

Kerry Samaritans are holding their annual church gate collection on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning, December 24th and 25th. You generous support for this very important service will be much appreciated.
