RAMBLING HOUSE

DEATHS

Maura Naughton (née Barry) Greystones, Limerick / Clare / Moyvane. Late of Knockanure, Moyvane, Survived by her husband Pat, sons Gerard & Patrick, daughter-in-law Margaret, granddaughters Ella & Zara, brother Stephen, sister Noreen, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. Requiem Mass for Maura Naughton was celebrated at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Ennis Road on Thursday (Dec. 21st) after Mass Maura was laid to rest at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Foynes.

The death occurred of Elizabeth (Lila) Carroll née O’ Sullivan, Listowel, Died 19th December 2017. Thousands attended her funeral in Listowel, as everybody knew her.

WALK

The Great Southern Trail Greenway walk will be held on Wednesday December 27. Assembling at 12.30 at the Longcourt House Hotel. The annual New Year’s Day walk will commence at the Rambling House in Knockfierna at 2.15pm, followed by the annual bonfire at 4.30pm. This will be followed by an evening of music song and story and all are welcome.

RACING

This year’s Ballyheigue Strand Horse and Pony Races will take place on Wednesday 27th December 2017 at 13.00pm. The Limerick Christmas Racing Festival shall take place from Tuesday 26th of December until Friday 29th of December at Greenmount Park.
