1. BEALE GAA SET FOR ‘STRICTLY COME DANCING’

BEALE GAA is getting ready for a great night of fun later this month as it preps for its night of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.

Taking place on the night of Friday December 29 in the Ballybunio­n Community Centre, tickets are currently on sale at €20 each; doors open at 7:30pm with the start time at 8pm.

This is a strictly over 18’s event.

2. WALK OFF THE CHRISTMAS DINNER IN FOSSA

SHAKE off that post-Christmas slump this year by heading over to Fossa on Thursday December 28 and taking part in the 5th annual Fossa Christmas Walk, all of which will be in aid of the Kerry/Cork Health Link Bus.

The Walk will be departing from the Innisfalle­n Hotel in Fossa at 2pm; registrati­on is from 1pm onwards and a donation of your choice can be given to the charity on the day.

This is an event that promises to be as great event for all to enjoy.

3. RING IN THE NEW YEAR WITH NATHAN CARTER

ONE of Ireland’s most popular singers is back in Killarney this weekend.

That’s right, Nathan Carter will help you ring in the new year as he keeps you entertaine­d with renditions of his most popular hits.

Tickets for this highly sought after event are on sale now from the INEC box office and are set to cost between just €32.90 to €35.00; doors for the show are set to open at 8pm and the show will start at 9pm.

4. TRALEE INTL BRIDGE CONGRESS TAKING PLACE THIS MONTH

THE annual Tralee Internatio­nal Bridge Congress will take place at the Manor West Hotel in Tralee from Friday December 29 to Monday January 1.

The Congress will commence this coming Friday at 7:30pm with Manor West Pairs and Open Pairs competitio­ns.

5. DINGLE TO HOST ANNUAL NEW YEARS CYCLE

DINGLE will again be the scene of a fitting end of year cycle as the Dingle Cycling Club get set to host what is a staple of the sporting calendar.

The cycle will start from the Dingle Marina Centre at 10am sharp on the morning of Sunday, December 31 with all new members and guests welcome to take part on the day.

There will be plenty of warm food and drinks afterwards for an event that promises to be a very memorable way to close out 2017.

6. ENJOY A POST CHRISTMAS WALK ON THE GREENWAY

THE annual Christmas walk along the Great Southern Trail Greenway will take place today, Wednesday December 7 at 12:30pm.

Assembly is at the newly opened Longcourt House Hotel (formerly the Courtneay Lodge) on St Mary’s Road, Newcastle West.

This looks like it will be another great way to help burn off those excess Christmas calories so if you are in the area, make sure you try your best to take part.

7. MICK FLANNERY TO PERFORM IN THE INEC

THE musical talents of MIck Flannery will be on show in the INEC in KIllarney tonight when he takes to the stage at the INEC Acoustoc Club.

Doors open tonight at 8pm and the show itself will start at 9pm -

8. BALLYHEIGU­E TO HOST TABLE QUIZ NIGHT

THE Ballyheigu­e Community Games annual Table Quiz will take place in Flahives Bar at 9pm tonight, Wednesday, December 27.

A table of four on the night will cost just €20 so if you’re around the area, please do call in for a great evening of fun.

9. ENJOY A CHRISTMAS PANTO IN THE INEC

TICKETS are currently on sale for the upcoming ‘Beauty and the Beast’ pantomime in the INEC in Killarney.

Starring Karl Spain, Red Rock’s Adam Weafer and Clara Murray, this colurful and exciting panto will run in the venue from January 2 to January inclusive, with two shows taking place daily.

Tickets for this upcoming show are set to cost €25 for the shows and are available to buy from he INEC box office.

10. KILLARNEY ON ICE IS BACK THIS MONTH

THE hugely popular ‘Killarney On Ice’ is back this month and organisers are looking forward to getting back on the ice.

The ice skating rink, which is located at the Beech Road car park, will run on selected dates from December 1 until January 7 with online bookings and opening times available from www.killarneyo­nice.com.
