Siamsa gearing up for another bumper year

IF you’re looking for last minute post Christmas gift ideas, give the gift of entertainm­ent at Siamsa Tíre with tickets now available for the 2018 spring season at the famous Tralee theatre.

Laughter is sure to blow the New Year blues away with ‘Foil, Arms & Hog’ returning in February with their new show Oink, followed by lyrical comic storytelli­ng and original music and song by Little John Lee, or enjoy the glamourous first ladies of comedy, The Nualas in March.

A diverse programme of music is also planned with the Legends of Country in February, followed by Man in Black (Johnny Cash tribute) and the ever popular Reeling in the Showband Years in March.

The enigmatic Jerry Fish will bring his captivatin­g performanc­e of Misery Hill to Tralee in early March and.

As always, the theatre will have a range of classical performanc­es for all tastes throughout the season including Magical Mozart, trumpeter Niall O’Sullivan in My Funny Valentine, opera Powder Her Face by the Irish National Opera and a thrilling new duo comprising Franco-Spanish guitarist, Thibaut Garcia, and German cellist, Isang Enders.

The children’s programme continues with Cinderella Panto in January, followed by the children’s magician and illusionis­t Joe Daly
